Aerial Class

Mary & I went to an aerial class yesterday.  It was so amazing!  I never realized how much strength and flexibility it requires.  Our teacher is literally ripped.  lol I had so much fun.  There were supposed to be several other girls there, but only Mary & I showed up, so it was like a private class. But, with the pics I've posted below, you can't tell how we got into those positions.  It looks like we just looped our leg over...NO.  lol She made us flip over the loops, or take the two strands of silk cloth and flip to end up with your feet in the air, completely vertical. I absolutely loved it.  I think we are going to be having another class this weekend!  Sooo looking forward to it.

p.s..don't ask me what any of the names of these positions are called...I can't remember!  haha

please don't make fun of my split...lol I haven't stretched/done a split since July.

I hope you've enjoyed the pics (;
9 days till Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

However many I can get!  I had a goal to get 100 followers, and the Lord has blessed me and given me even more!

canada {week three}

*If you didn't see my first post about Canada, please click here*

Like I said before, Canada was wonderful.  We did have a sick spell, but it was okay.  We spent a lot of time running to the 'big city' an hour away and getting groceries and Starbucks.  Yummy!  We visited with lots of friends too.  A coffee shop about thirty minutes away is our favorite place to go.  We've made so many friends there.  Mr. Henry & Mrs. Phyllis were so sweet to us.  They invited us over and we absolutely fell in love with them.  Also, Mr. Mike is an older man that we've been writing to this past year that we also met at the coffee shop.  His wife was in the nursing home while we were there, and he was spending all his time with her (which is understandable).  But, he was never at the coffee shop when we went.  Finally, we were able to go to the nursing home and see him.  We even got to meet his wife!  So sweet.  *sidenote.  Mrs. Gladys passed away this past week.  Please keep Mr. Mike in your prayers*

We also went skating!  Us southern girls don't have skating rinks, so it's always a must when we go up there.   We went one time, and had the whole rink to ourselves!  So fun (:  We also enjoyed going to a new pizza place in town with our friends.

I mentioned in my last post about Canada that we went to Delta Beach a long time ago.  This year, we were able to go back and take pics in the same places as before!  It was so cool.  I was four or five when we went there, but I still had some memories coming back.  (:

Our family also takes our Christmas pictures up there, so that's fun...but FREEZING!  lol the day we decided to take them, it was about 20F outside, without the wind, which was blowing about 25mph.  But, we got it done, record speed people.  It only took barely ten minutes.  All of us were pretty motivated (;

Emma got to go to school with one of her friends!  When we asked her how she liked it, she said "It was GREAT!"  I've been to school with one of my friends up there several times, so I kinda passed it on to Emma (;  The last day, we went to visit with our friends, and then headed to Minot, ND, to catch a flight the next morning.  While in the process of packing (Guys reading, you may not understand this, but us girls like to pack a lot of clothes!), I kinda broke my zipper on my rolling bag.  We only do carry ons because of the fees for checking bags.  So, I had to get a new bag in Minot!  It's a bit bigger, but still fits the carry on requirements (:  I also had to bring my violin on the plane.  Daddy took it up with him, but we didn't know for sure when he would start heading home, so I took my baby with me.  hehe

All of our flights went well on the way home.  In Minneapolis, MN, we had about three hours to burn, so Mary & I literally went halfway across the airport to get Starbucks.  We might have a bit of an addiction...lol
All in all, we had a wonderful trip north.  It's our getaway every year, a time to unwind and relax.  I leave half my heart there every time.  But, I am SO happy to be home.  Can't beat Southern weather.  Here we are, December 4th, and it is 75F outside...no white Christmas here!

Enjoy the pics!

canada {weeks one & two}

Hi everyone!

I apologize for my lack of posting.  We just got back from our annual trip north.  (: As most of you may know, my family and I travel the nearly 2,000 miles to Manitoba, Canada, for about three weeks in the fall.  My Dad hunts there, and we've been going since I was about 3.  We started going up because my Dad was a board member with a conservation group called Delta Waterfowl.  While my Dad loves to hunt, he realizes that to continue hunting, we have to make sure that the ducks survive and are thriving.  We went to a place called Delta Beach near Portage la Prairie.  My Dad eventually left the board, and we now hunt in a place about 1 1/2 hours north/northwest from Portage. We've made so many friends, and I enjoy our time up there so much.

Here are a few pics from the trip.  (week one & two)

The day of our flights, I was so tired.  Mary & I stayed up till about 1am trying to close our bags!  lol we left our house around 5am to go to the airport.  All of our flights went well.  We flew to Minot, ND, and Daddy picked us up there with all the dogs (he drove up).  We stayed the night there, and the next day drove to our rental house.  The border crossing went well, and we made it to our house around 3pm and Mom & I got groceries.  The next day, Emma got sick ): she had a fever.  Then, Mary got sick.  We were all having stuffy noses, sore throats, and all that lovely stuff.  By the end of the first week, we were better.  We had many trips to the "big city" (about an hour away) to get groceries and Starbucks (:  We also got to go to Portage la Prairie for the first time in about ten years!  So cool to see everything at Delta Beach again.  We got to see friends and went to our beloved coffee shop about thirty minutes away to see some great old guys that we met last year.  (more pics of that coming later!)

Psalms 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,  though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging
