May We Never Forget

I have to say, I dread 9/11.  I dread the news, the tears, everything.  I hate the fact that people can be so cruel.  Was crashing into buildings, killing thousands of people really necessary?  I really don't understand.  My heart goes out to all of the victims, and their families.  This morning, as I watched some of the news, the names of those killed were being read.  I hated to see the family members cry at the thought of their beloved sister, cousin, father, son, daughter, mother, etc.  Please, keep the families of 9/11 in your prayers this dreadful day.

The Star Spangled Banner

O, say can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there;
O, say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave!

God bless the United States of America- the land of the free, and the home of the brave!!

  1. 9/11 is so sad...and especially to think the people who killed thousands of people (and themselves) were doing it all because they believe it will win them favor with Allah. Also sad is the fact that so many people use this as an opportunity to hate. Hate is not the best way to fight hate--love is. But so many people don't see that. That makes me sad. :'(

    1. I totally agree with you! I think we should return hate with love, like Jesus did for us.

  2. Wow. A destruction so terrible and devastating...leaving millions of Americans questioning their purpose in life...and yet, God used such a time of devastation and horror to point souls to the cross. What man meant for evil, God meant for good. Though we can't see the whole picture, and the snippets hurt horribly, God hears us and sees us and LOVES us! He means everything for His glory, some way or another. May we live for His glory each day...and truly let His spirit guide us into making a difference in our beloved country, America.
