Ripley's Birthday

Many of you probably remember Ripley, our precious Springer. He turned six years old yesterday, so I baked him some cookies, and he LOVED them! Here are some pictures from his special day(:

A Good Person?

Some people think that just because they are a "good person" they automatically get a pass into Heaven.  Does that really sound right?  I mean, we are such awful people anyways, and that is 'good enough' to make it into the House of the Lord?  Seriously????

"And Jesus said to him 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.  NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6

"For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

So, Jesus says here that He is the only way to get into Heaven.  Why do we then go and try to get there through other ways, such as trying to get to Heaven through a person, or paying money, or even other weird things.  Thankfully, there is One true way to get to Heaven, and One that we know will get us there.

                            Jesus Christ

"Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that He raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:9

God sent His Son to die for us on the cross, when He hadn't done ANYTHING wrong, and He was the only person that didn't need to die, because He didn't do any wrongdoings.  But, yet He loved us SO much, that He sent His perfect Son, (the only One that could repay our debt) and He died for us on the cross (John 3:16).  What are you waiting for?  Accept Jesus as your Savior today!!

School Days!

We are now officially on our 2nd week of school here at our house.  I have to say, I really like it this year.  We use the Ambleside curriculum, which is based on the teachings of Charlotte Mason.  She taught that children need to be reading 'living' books, instead of reading plain old textbooks.  Personally, for me, I'm not so good with the whole text book thing, but I love this where we can learn different subjects through story form instead of just memorizing facts about it.

Schedule!

Just a few of our books
We are learning about this amazing man!
Marine Biology(amazing, by the way!)
School for the year!

I hope you guys are enjoying school as much as I am!

May We Never Forget

I have to say, I dread 9/11.  I dread the news, the tears, everything.  I hate the fact that people can be so cruel.  Was crashing into buildings, killing thousands of people really necessary?  I really don't understand.  My heart goes out to all of the victims, and their families.  This morning, as I watched some of the news, the names of those killed were being read.  I hated to see the family members cry at the thought of their beloved sister, cousin, father, son, daughter, mother, etc.  Please, keep the families of 9/11 in your prayers this dreadful day.

The Star Spangled Banner

O, say can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there;
O, say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave!

God bless the United States of America- the land of the free, and the home of the brave!!

One Year

It has been one year to the day since I started wearing skirts!  It truly feels like I've worn them all my life, but I can't believe it's been one year.  Here is the post I posted a day after on here of my decision:

My Decision

After a lot of praying, and thinking, I feel that the Lord is leading me to wear skirts 24/7. Now, when I was first feeling the Lord tell me about this, I knew that there were going to be people in my life that would make fun of me, or maybe even look down on me. Thats okay. I would rather suffer for God, than ignore His calling for me to do something. I know my friends will look at me differently, but I really feel that not only will I be doing what God has told me to do, I will be helping other young men out by not being tempted.

So, as of now, this is my decision. I would love to hear your reactions.

In Christ,

Grace

It's still hard, very hard, to feel accepted by certain people, but I feel like I'm on the right track!  Thank you guys for all of your support this past year on what I decided.  I really, really, really appreciate it(:

Have a lovely day!
