As I sit here writing this, I am amazed at how many blessings God has given me. He has given me: A family, a house, food, water, clothes, shoes, friends, church, dogs, musical instruments.... I have so many reasons to be thankful!
It is amazing to think that people take these things for granted, me included. I don't think about how blessed I am to have a family. There are so many orphans out there that don't have anybody. No one to love them, take care of them, hug and kiss them- they literally have NOTHING. There are people in the world today that cannot even afford to have a Thanksgiving meal. But, there are some that still give thanks to God, no matter what they have. I am inspired by these men and women.
So, today, I am trying to think of how blessed I am, how God has provided for us, and most importantly how He died on the cross for us. That is something to be truly thankful for
For church on Sunday, I tried a new hairstyle. First, I got it wet and scrunched it. Then I pulled it into a ponytail. After that, I pulled all of my hair in the pony straight into the air. I then rolled it into a ball, and pinned it!! Here is a picture!(:
I am entering in the Vision Forum Story Contest this year! There is a $1000 reward for the winner! I finished my story today, and am going to send it in soon. It has to be based on the one of the covers of the magazine for 2012, themed "Women and Children First!".
I am very excited about this contest, and will post my story soon.
I am overjoyed at being back home. Even though I already miss our good friends in Canada, I have missed being at our nice, comfy house.
Yesterday went very well. We had to be at the airport at 8:00, but security didn't open until about 9:30, so we had a good hour and a half of nothing(: We were also late leaving on the flight from Winnipeg to Minneapolis by about 45 minutes, but thankfully we made all of our flights.
I am going to do a post with tons of pictures ( I took about 300!!!) soon.
Tomorrow we are leaving Canada. I'm really sad. We are staying at a hotel right now, and flying out tomorrow morning. I hated saying goodbye to all of our friends, and, yes, I did cry! But, I am excited about going home to see my Dad. He drove back home, and will be picking us up at the airport tomorrow. I took lots of pictures, and will do a long post soon.
