A Glimpse....

Hi everyone(:

Yes, it has been a while since I have posted, but as always, we've been busy(: Our trip is coming up next week, so we have been preparing for that, and then the usual schedule.

First of all, school is going well. We have a lot on our plate this year, but most of it isn't so bad(: We usual start out in the mornings around 8:30. Our first subject is Bible. We are currently going through the book of Mark. It is a really good book talking about all where Jesus went, and it is amazing how many people He healed, and how He always provided for the people. We then have Prayer. We put all of our prayer requests on paper, and it is truly spectacular as you watch all of the issues/problems be marked off, and how God provides! After Prayer, we usually start Math, and keep going from there.

As for the Canada Trip coming up, I am counting down the days. Sadly, I won't be able to post for about two weeks while I am there, but I am going to take lots of pictures to post once I come back!!

Down here in the South, it has actually been very cold lately! I'm talking getting down to 37F in the nights! It has been wonderful to have cold weather for once, but sadly, it is going to be in the 80's next week.

Since starting to wear skirts all the time, it has been harder due to the cold weather, but God has provided, and He helped me find leggings, and stockings to wear. In fact, I found some nice, thick and warm leggings today for only $7.00! And, to make it more of a blessing, I had a gift card to this store!(:

Through all these blessings the Lord has given us, I realize that He knows the plans He has for our family. (Jeremiah 29:11)

My Thoughts on Halloween

What do you think of when you say "Halloween"? Monsters, witches, and vampires are just a few things that young children dress up as on October 31. My personnel view is that Halloween is Satan's holiday, and that we should not celebrate it. Most people say "It's okay. Nothing is wrong with it!", but Halloween is an evil day. Here are just a few things that I have researched.

Human and Animal Offerings- Every year on October 31, Satanic people sacrifice animals and humans to Satan, begging that no evil spirits will attack them.

Trick or Treat- A long time ago while preparing for this offering, druids would go around asking for bulls, or cows to offer to Satan. People who did give them were considered "good", but people who didn't were cursed.

Jack-O-Lanterns- Jack-O-Lanterns symbolize supporting the druids in their religion, or getting the 'treat' in Trick or Treating.

Dance of the Death- When the innocent people and animals were dying, they, of course, made an awful sound in their agony. During this screaming, the druids would sing and dance around the fire in costumes of different sorts. This is how dressing up on Halloween began.

Do you see how evil this holiday is? Here is a verse that supports this:

"When thou art come into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found with thee any one that maketh his son or daughter pass through the fire, one that useth divination, one that practices augury, or and enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard or a necromancer. For whosoever doeth these thins is an abomination unto Jehovah." - Deuteronomy 18: 9-12

A Quick Update.....

I know it has been a while since I have posted, but it has been a hard week. My Dad owns his own company, and it has been a blessing for our family to meet new employees that turn out to be lifelong friends. On Thursday night, my Dad gets a call, saying that one of his employees, Albert, was on a job in Texas, and had just came back to the hotel with his room mate (another employee). Mr. Albert started having a heart attack. The paramedics came and did CPR for over an hour on him, but, sadly, he died. He was 42, and had twins(about three years old). It was completely unexpected, and he was a great man, and worked very hard. Even though I never met him, I hurt bitterly for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

On a different note, we leave for Canada in about 1 1/2 weeks. I am pretty excited! There had been snow, and very cold weather; quite contradictory to our Southern weather. I am ready for ice skating, snow, and seeing our dear friends.

I hope to do a longer post soon!

Canada, here we come!

Yes, it's about that time of year again! As some of you may know, my family and I go to Canada every year, one- so my Daddy can duck hunt, and most importantly two- to see our good friends. We go to a town that is very small. I'm talking only 800 people. Even though it is teeny tiny town, we love to go there to slooowww down from our busy schedule. We are leaving the at the end of October, and coming back after the first two weeks of November. Us girls (my mom and two sisters) fly up, and my Daddy drives, with my 9 dogs in tow. He has a huge dog trailer that he puts "everybody" in. I am so excited about this year. We have been going to Canada for about 12 years in a row, and this year, it almost looked like we would not be able to go! But, the Lord always provides for our family, and He truly preformed a miracle this year.

The only bad part of the trip, is that "somehow", my Daddy always books us a flight that leaves at about 6AM. Now, the airport is 45 minutes away from us, and since we are flying internationally, we have to get there around 5AM. So, that means get up at 3AM, leave at 4AM, get there at 5AM, and board the plane at 6AM. It is a really long day from there, considering that where we are in Canada is about 3 hours away from the airport. Yes, it's going to be a long day, but worth it (:
