Purity Ring

For my birthday, I got a purity ring. My Dad and I went to a jewelry store, and looked around, and saw one that we both liked.

A lot of girls get purity rings and say that they are 'pure', but aren't actually willing to go through hard times of abstaining from boys in certain ways. For example, some girls get purity rings and say that they are going to stay pure, but go way too far with kissing and touching. I really don;t think this is how God wants us to be. I am (personally) saving my first kiss for my wedding day. I am excited and praying that God will bring me a man that has done the same thing.

To be pure in our heart, minds, and bodies, is hard. I mean, a lot of our music nowadays is about the stuff we want to save for marriage and there are tons of pictures that pop up on your computer screen that completely catch you by surprise. After that happens to you, it is hard to get it to go away. I mean, from personal experience, it really scars your mind.

Here are some verses about purity:

Psalms 119:9: "How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word

2nd Timothy 2:22: "Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

I have to go!

Worship.........

This week at our youth group, me and couple of other people are doing worship. I mean, I am always nervous to get in front of a group, period. And now I am singing????? I usually don't do this kind of thing. I have done worship a couple of times before, but I am a bit ( EXTREMELY) nervous this time.

Please be praying for me!

Making Chore Lists

Today I have been making chore lists for each one of us girls in our family to keep throughout the upcoming school year. I have just finished Emma's, and I wanted to put a verse on each one of our lists. I found Proverbs 31:27 for Emma. It says:

"She carefully watches over everything in her household, and suffers nothing from laziness."

I have a problem with getting distracted(: and I thought "suffers nothing from laziness"........ I think back to where I have been lazy when I could have been doing something else productive. I am praying that the Lord will give me a heart to not be lazy, and I know He will!

Pure Acceptance

One of the songs that we sing in church says " Pure Acceptance. Deep Forgiveness. Grace unmeasured flowing over me...... I receive everything You have for me. I'm not afraid. You always give whats best for me. So let it flow over me. I receive."

This song is so special to me. It is so amazing to think that everything we do wrong, God doesn't say "Well, that is it. You can't be in My family anymore because you did this and this". But instead, He gives us Pure Acceptance! He is so forgiving and kind!

Minnesota Trip!

(The puppies at the kennel were ADORABLE!!!)

When we went on a trip to Minnesota, it was tons of fun. The driving...... wasn't my favorite part. It was a total of 22 hours one way. It was fun, because we got to listen to audiobooks and see gorgeous fields and hills on the way there.
My favorite part was seeing the puppies!

Wow!!!

It's been a really busy weekend! First of all, we are doing a co-op with a bunch of other homeschoolers this year, and we had to take some classes prior to co-op just to catch up. That was on Thursday and Friday. Also on Friday was MY BIRTHDAY!!! Yes, I just turned 13!(: I had a lot of fun. We came back from the class to our house, then had a swing dancing birthday party with some of my friends! I loved it! We also played Capture the Flag, Volleyball, Sardines, and some other outside, hot and sweaty games(:
All in all, I had a great birthday!!
