Today was a good day. We had to take my Daddy to the airport(that was the only sad part), then my sister Mary treated us all to lunch. Once we got home, Emma and I made dinner to put in the crock-pot, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, then hauled wood for the fireplace because it is supposed to be cold tonight. I had a good day. Today I read in the Bible about Jacob finally meeting Joseph after a long time. It is such a sweet story on how God comes through.

Jesus, I am so in love with You.

Wow! Such powerful words. That explains every single person on this earth's relationship with their Saviour. "I'll let my words be few. Jesus I am so in love with You" We don't have to make lengthy, long, serious prayers to Jesus. All He wants is us to be ourselves with Him. He wants us to be comfortable with Him. Jesus wants you to want Him to be your Best Friend. I love Jesus. He is my all in all. I wouldn't be anything without Him. He has made me who I am today. He brought me out of complete darkness, and lead me into the light. He is everything to me.

Jesus, I am so in love with You.

Heavenly Father

Most of us think of our Heavenly Father as a God, which He is, but most of us don't think of having a relationship with Him. God is the most generous, loving wonderful Father that you could ever dream of having. He listens to you when nobody else does. He understands you when people think you're going crazy! I want to have this relationship with my Father. It will help me to know that He is there. He is reaching out to you when you don't even realize it. "Turn you at My reproof: Behold, I will pour out My Spirit upon you; I will make known My words known unto you"(Proverbs 1:23) God is gracious to us. He sent His own Son to die for our sins. Can you imagine, sending your own son or daughter just to die upon this earth? God made a huge sacrifice. He is begging us to love Him with our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths.

God is ready to have a relationship with you. He is ready to be your Heavenly Father. All you have to do is ask.

Prayer Requests

Here are some prayer requests at my home and others that we know.

1.Our puppies; that they will be strong and find a loving family that loves them as much as us.

2.My Dad's business friend, who is going through an implant process; that he will be strong and know that God is with him no matter what circumstances he might have to go through.

3.For my father's business; that they will be prosperous through the new year.

4.That my friends will come to know Christ.

5. That God will use my for my special purpose.

6. Our puppy, Birtle, we are having a hard time getting her to eat and she is extremely weak.

That's it for now.

We have puppies at my house right now! We have 4 boys and 2 girls. We haven't named the boys yet, but we've named the girls. Their names are Cheryl and Birtle. All are very sweet. We can't touch or be down with them very much because our mother dog is still a little bit unsure about us being there with her right now. Birtle is having to stay in the house for a little bit because she is very weak and won't eat. We have been feeding her supplements and she is doing a little bit better.

Maggie's Dare

Maggie's Dare is a very good book that my friend let me borrow. It is about a girl named Maggie who has two very wealthy friends. She, at first, wants to be like them; asking her Dad if she can have a side-saddle, for that was the 'proper' way to ride a horse. Wanting whatever her two friends have. As this is going on, 'revivalists' start making headlines. Revivalists were said to be hooligans that would have church in a barn, the pastor wouldn't write his sermon down, and they would 'be knocked out'(because the Holy Spirit is upon them). Maggie didn't know what to think. Her friends thought they were awful, weird and crazy. Maggie eventually starts to think what her friends think. But then, one day, her father gets a call(he is a doctor), to come to a house in a very poor part of the city. She meets a woman that is said to be 'a sinner'. Maggie's friends say not to even look at her. Her house was a mess, if you could even call it a house, and Maggie looked down on her and her daughter. For Christmas, Maggie and her nanny make them coats to wear. They appreciated it immensely, and they loved the warmth it gave them. After Christmas holidays, they come back to check on them. To their surprise, the mother was up, on her feet! The house was scrubbed squeaky clean, and they had the windows open to let light and fresh air in. Maggie was amazed. The mother said she has been saved by the Lord's grace. She said she and her daughter went to a revivalist meeting, and she had been saved! Even her daughter understood the giving love of Jesus Christ. Maggie thought 'But they have never been to a real church. They sinned. How could they be saved?" It ends up very sweet. Maggie realizes with God's love and saving grace, anyone can be saved. You just have to believe.

Homemakers, hmm, you don't hear that word often. Most of the time you hear celebrities, models, but never homemakers. You don't see true homemakers that often anymore. Homemakers definition is a person who manages the household of his or her own family, especially as a principal occupation. Wow. How many people (mostly wives) do you know that stay home and be homemakers as their principal occupation? The Bible tells us to look well after our household(Proverbs 31:22), and you don't see that anymore.
Proverbs 31 is the woman God wants every woman out there to be like. Most people would be like "Wow. Look at how much she gets done! I could never do that". In my Bible, there are insights of what women and occasionally some men would say about what happened in their story. Proverbs 31 woman says that she does all this for the Lord. She couldn't do anything without Him. Like it says in Proverbs 31:25, "[But] a woman who fears the Lord will be praised" That is one of my favorite verses. It is simple what you have to do. Don't go and loly-gag, this won't give you praise. Don't go show off for other people; this won't give you praise. A woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. How does this connect to homemakers? Homemakers sometimes(like the Proverbs 31 woman) are asked how they get everything done, how they work, yet still have time for their family and the answer is this. She does it all for the Lord. This is why she is greatly praised. She fears the Lord. That is the foundation for every relationship between men and women with God.

Yes, I do want to be a homemaker. This will teach me what I need to know out in the world. Now a days, you see girls who are grown and don't even know how to do laundry. You can learn all you need to know right under you father's roof. You can be a homemaker, and not someone who doesn't know how to do things.

I want to be all that the Proverbs 31 woman is. But, the most important thing for me to do is fear the Lord.

Joyfully at Home

I am reading a book called 'Joyfully at Home' by Jasmine Baucham. In it she talks about the importance of daughters staying at home until she gets married. She makes it very interesting with talking about how to be a good daughter to your Heavenly Father, you father, your mother and how to be a good sister to your siblings. I find that there are a lot of helpful verses talking about what Jasmine wants to point out. As in 'The Return of the Daughters' (Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin), Jasmine mentions that when she was younger, the most important thing to her was to be on Oprah, or go to college to make her name famous. She didn't think about cherishing the time that she has with her father and mother. Now, the most important thing to her is pleasing her Heavenly Father instead of worring about her image. I want to be like that. Not want to make my name famous, but my Lord's name. I highly recommed this book.

New Year's Resolution

Okay, since it's the New Year, I have to make some resolutions. Okay, here we go!

1. Drink only water for a year.
2. Be nicer to my sisters.
3. Grow closer to God, and strive to be worthy to be His daughter.
4. Make sure I get good grades, and study hard.
5. Help my mother whenever I can
6. Be a helper to my father.
7. Not spend as much time on myself getting ready, but focus on what the Lord wants me to wear.
8. Reach out to others that are not Christians.
9. Be pure in my heart, soul, and mind.
10. Work hard at getting an education, pleasing my heavenly Father, pleasing my family, and to love my neighbor as myself.
